  2. GSDCP BREEDERS CONFERENCE LAHORE 2008
    1. CChanges To Show Rules
As per decisions last year we have one SV judge for three years. In consultation with Herr Hans-Peter Rieker it has been decided as follows:
To attain title of VA a dog or bitch must be shown a minimum of 3 times during the current season at GSD shows under three different judges including either the President or the NBW.
This will also apply to any dog from overseas who is entered/shown at the Pakistan Sieger Show. In order for a dog to be VA for a 2nd time, he must present a progeny group of six pups from at least three different litters, and conform to the show requirements stated as per rules.

A GSD older than six years will be entered only in the Veteran's class at all GSDCP shows including the Sieger Show and dogs will be placed first, second and so forth but no grading will be given.
    2. In Future
Breed Survey is essential for dogs and bitches to be entered in Adult Class at the Sieger Show.
Schutzdienst (attack) will be introduced on a voluntary basis from Sieger Show 2009. In 2011 this will become mandatory.
Hip and elbow dysplasia will be mandatory to achieve VA grade from 2010
DNA stamp will also be mandatory from 2010
    3. Entries
      At all shows
Dogs will only be entered in the name of the person whose name appears on the pedigree of the dog and in the name that the dog is registered with the GSDCP/KCP.
The member of the show committee responsible for entries will be held responsible for the correctness of all entries.
In cases where the ownership has changed just prior to the show, the member will obtain a note on GSDCP format signed by both seller and purchaser and attach the note to the pedigree of the dog and send it to the GSDCP for necessary rectification.

All changes of ownership will immediately be intimated to the GSDCP Main Office.
Entries in the catalog will be on the format specified by the GSDCP and must carry the membership number of the owner.

The WUSV has issued strict instructions in this regard due to the many violations of a serious nature that have been noted.

    4. Amendments To Breeding Rules
DNA will be compulsory for all dogs appearing for Breed Survey in 2010

Hip and Elbow clearance will also be compulsory for all dogs appearing for Breed Survey in 2010

To qualify for Breed Survey in 2010 all dogs will require BH training and passing the Stamina test AD which will mean 5 kilometers behind a bicycle.

By 2011 since Schutzdienst will be mandatory, it is necessary to make SCHH1 compulsory for Breed Survey in 2011.

The GSDCP has established a Register of Merit (ROM)for bitches that are good producers.

For every pup graded SG or V the mother will be given one point. For every pup that gets first position she will get 2 points.

A maximum of three points for one pup will be allowed to the mother.

On earning 20  points the bitch’s name will be entered in the ROM.

A Certificate of Merit will be issued.

Progeny groups of males are very important.
Especially since VA can be achieved 2nd time ONLY if group is presented.

This will only work if the owner of the Stud dog closely monitors the development of pups produced by his/her dog.

Knowledge of the location of the pups is essential to monitor them.

    5. Follow The Rules
Breeders and owners will strictly follow all rules. Relaxation will not be permitted except under exceptional circumstances to be decided by the Managing Committee.

The rule of the Group Breed Warden clearing the basics of all dogs at 1 year of age will be followed strictly.

No dogs will be entered at a show after 1 year of age without the stamp on the pedigree.

    6. Conclusion
The GSDCP’s is that of facilitator for the improvement of the GSD in Pakistan.

This role is very important to the success of the WUSV primary objective to standardize the breeding of the GSD in the world

This means disciplined implementation of the high ideals required to breed quality GSDs.

The GSDCP is committed to ensure that these ideals are maintained strictly and without any concessions.

Collectively we need to ensure that we see more and more dogs presented at our shows.

The puppy classes must be full.

Other classes must have many more entries

In the Adult Class Pakistani bred dogs must make top places

      The highest Pakistani bred bitch at 2008 Sieger was V3 which is excellent but;

We have had VA bitches before this MUST happen each year. The same with Males.
